Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Mason Family Eye Care the leading provider of vision care products and services in Mason.

Dr. Glen Linsley

Dr. Glen Linsley received his Doctor of Optometry from Ohio State University and established his private practice in Mason in
1976. He is a long-time Associate Clinical Professor at the Michigan College of Optometry and spends two days a week supervising fourth-year optometry students at the Duane Waters Hospital at the Jackson Correctional Facility. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of the American Optometric Association, and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists.
Dr. Linsley is married and has six children with his wife, Donna. Dr. Linsley is an avid runner who has completed four marathons including the 2009 Boston Marathon. In 2015, he met his goal of competing in one race for each month of the year. He also enjoys camping, staying involved in his home church, reading Jeff Shaara novels, watching college football, and attempting to keep an eye on his very large family!

Dr. Chad Linsley

As Dr. Glen’s eldest son, Dr. Chad Linsley was exposed to optometry at an early age and spent many childhood years roaming his father’s practice. He spent several years of high school working in the practice dispensing glasses and performing general office work. Throughout college he spent his breaks at the office performing pre-testing and helping in the dispensary.

Dr. Chad received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2010. Dr. Linsley’s extern training included Eyecare Associates of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, the Pawnee Indian Health Service near Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the Dwayne Waters Hospital in Jackson, Michigan.

As an optometrist, Dr. Chad has an acute interest in third-world eye-care and has participated in short-term humanitarian trips to Haiti, Guatemala, Peru, Kenya, and Costa Rica. He is driven by his belief that there are few situations in which Mason Family Eye Care can not improve visual function or ocular comfort.

When Dr. Chad is not at the office, he enjoys running, reading, landscaping, and spending time with his wife, Felicia. Next time you’re in for an exam, you might ask him about the joy of shopping at Aldi.

Ed Linsley, Optician

Mason Family Eye Care is the home to “Mr. Ed”, Mason’s well-established optical wizard! Whether it’s frame selection, eyeglass adjustments, nose-pad replacement or even repairs, your glasses are safest in Ed’s hands. He has 32 years of experience with the practice and performs his work with professionalism and honesty.

Ed has been married to his wife Linda for 37 years and has three children and two grandchildren.

In his free time, Ed enjoys reading, chopping wood, and movies. In recent years, he has also taken up acting as an extra on the silver screen (including the films “Real Steel” and “Oz: The Great and Powerful”.) You can look for Ed on the big screen or come in to our office to see the optical skills that make members of our community treat him like a celebrity!

Donna Reasoner, Front Desk

Donna has worked at our front desk for 12 years. When it comes to phones, she is the most familiar voice of the practice as well as our leading specialist in the wacky world of insurances.

Donna is an avid animal lover and enjoys visiting her numerous puppies on her lunch breaks. Married to her husband Ken for 44 years, Donna has 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and enjoys spending time with her family.

Lisa Rizzardi, Front Desk/Technician

Lisa approaches her duties at the front-desk and in the testing room with courtesy and professionalism. In her time at Mason Family Eye Care, she has become a skilled technician and expert at navigating the world of insurances. Her steady countenance and attention detail have made her an invaluable member of our Mason Family Eye Care family.

As one our office’s several animal enthusiasts, it won’t surprise you to see Lisa out for a run with one of her three dogs. She is also an avid reader and crafting enthusiast. While quiet and reserved, Lisa may just talk your ear off if you ask her about her dogs or the latest JK Rowling  novel.

Karen Egelkraut, Front Desk/Technician

Whether working at the front desk or doing preliminary testing for patients, Karen brings her lively personality and unique sense of humor to all of her duties. During her time at Mason Family Eye Care, Karen has enjoyed learning about the structure of the eye and diseases that affect the eye. Karen is passionate about using “your” and “you’re” correctly, but don’t let her grammatical correctness scare you in testing room; she enjoys interacting with patients and helping them understand the tests she is performing.

Karen enjoys running, photography, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Brett Linsley, Office Manager

Dr. Glen’s second son and Dr. Chad’s younger brother, Brett joined the family practice at the front desk in June 2015. Recently, Brett has enjoyed taking on more responsibilities as the new Office Manager. Brett most enjoys having a job in which he can engage with members of his community on a daily basis.

If Brett isn’t answering phone calls at the office, he is probably playing with Dr. Chad’s cat. He also enjoys reading Roman history, writing essays, and playing guitar.

Sarah Linsley, Optician

Sarah is the daughter of our world-famous optician Ed Linsley and is consequently a most welcome addition to the Optical team at Mason Family Eye Care! She enjoys working with her family and providing a service that benefits the community. Sarah is passionate about developing strong relationships, staying positive, and encouraging happiness in others.

If Sarah is not playing with the lensometer in our lab, you may find her working on a new novel, drawing, knitting, or enjoying the zoological wonders of her animal-filled farmyard.

Baine Linsley, Insurances

The youngest of Dr. Glen’s clan, Baine works tirelessly to determine insurance eligibility and benefits to make your visit stress-free. His analytical nature make him particularly well-suited for the hours of research he performs to make our front-desk more efficient.

Whether sharing about philosophy, politics, or science, Baine brings something of the academy to our office family. If you didn’t know any better, you might think he has books for hands!

Alex Brown, Insurances

Alex is a technological wizard and brings his knowledge to Mason Family Eye Care to serve you. As insurances take an increasingly technological bent, Alex is the man needed for the job!

Alex is currently a student at Lansing Community College and has a wide range of hobbies and interests. When he’s not researching insurance information, he may be practicing martial arts or building a new computer.
